While art is commonly a reflection of the world around us, nothing reflects the world as literally as Nature art.

Nature has been the subject of art since the dawn of history (many would argue that Neolithic cave paintings would be the first pieces of Nature art), and the numerous subjects that can be drawn from the natural world and its splendour means that the pieces one can see are as varied and distinct as nature itself.

Whether it’s an oil painting portraying a sea turtle gracefully navigating the seas, an ink artwork bringing a dying tree to life, or an awe inspiring landscape artwork, the nature of art and art of nature speaks to an understanding of ourselves and part in the world around us.

The word "Galah" is an English word pronounced ga-lah. It originates from the Yuwaalaraay (Aboriginal language of south east Australia) word gilaa.Their distinctive pink and grey plumage and bold and loud behaviour make them a familiar sight in the bush and increasingly so in urban areas. They are friendly, playful and intelligent birds that can sometimes act like clowns, this...

Aussies pride themselves in the fact that Australia is not for the faint hearted, with danger looming around every corner whether it be dropbears, redbacks, brown snakes or crocodiles. I love their light hearted humour and “She’ll Be Right Mate” attitude. And for True Blue Aussies spring means swooping season... So naturally I was downright appalled to read that some...

I first spotted these delightful birds on our first trip to the very remarkable Kangaroo Island. Whist driving around I kept seeing this lightning fast scurrying into the bushes. I was wearing my old specs at the time so thought they were tiny field mice but then Megan corrected me by advising me that it was in fact birds. So...
